The EveryDrop WL-1200 is a 1" wireless flow meter that gives your smart irrigation controller real water-flow data from your own irrigation line. It sends readings by radio, so there's no wire to run from the meter to the controller. It has no moving parts, runs a season on two AA batteries, and installs with the included PVC unions.
Flow data makes your smart controller even smarter
A smart controller knows when it's watering. A flow meter tells it how much water is actually moving. Wire the WL-1200 receiver into a flow-capable controller like Rachio, Rain Bird or Hunter, and your controller gets real flow readings for every zone. Depending on your controller, that lets you:
- Catch a broken head or burst line, which makes flow jump, before it runs all season.
- Spot a clogged nozzle or stuck valve, which makes flow drop.
- See how much water each zone really uses, not an estimate.
Up and running in a couple of hours, no trenching
Because the meter talks to the receiver by radio, you skip the hardest part of adding a flow meter: burying wire from the valve box back to the controller. Most installs take a couple of hours, including calibration.

Test the signal first
Before cutting any pipe, set the meter near where it'll go and connect the receiver to your controller. The receiver shows signal strength, so you know it'll work.

Install the sensor
Glue the included PVC unions into your 1" mainline, above ground, and thread the sensor in. It fits the same space as our WM-1000 and 1004-EX.

Wire the receiver
Mount the UMI-200 indoors next to your controller and connect four short wires. It's powered by your controller's 24 VAC.

Calibrate the controller
Run flow calibration from your controller's app. It runs each zone and records that zone's normal flow as a baseline, so the controller can tell when a zone uses too much or too little water.

Common questions
Can I install the sensor below ground?
We recommend above ground. Soil, especially wet soil, weakens the radio signal. Some customers have installed it in a valve box successfully, so test the signal at your site before you commit.
Where does the receiver go?
The UMI-200 isn't weatherproof. Mount it indoors next to your controller, or in a weatherproof enclosure if your controller is outside. It runs on your controller's 24 VAC or an optional 5 VDC adapter.
What happens if the signal doesn't reach?
Test the meter near its final location before installing. If it can't communicate with the receiver, we'll refund your purchase, minus shipping and a small restocking fee.
How is the WL-1200 different from the WM-1000?
The WL-1200 replaces the WM-1000. It uses the same vortex sensor and fits the same space, but it's easier to set up and costs less. It uses a fixed radio frequency, which works well for most homes. If you're worried about interference from other 915 MHz devices, the WM-1000's frequency-hopping radio is still available.
I have two mainlines. Do I need two receivers?
No. With Merge Mode, one UMI-200 combines the readings from two WL-1200 sensors and sends a single flow signal to your controller.
