Flow meters are instruments that measure the flow rate of a fluid moving past a certain point within a system, like water moving through a pipe. They’re commonly used by water utility companies and landscapers as well as industrial and manufacturing facilities. While there are several types on the market, vortex flow meters offer a variety of benefits from accuracy and reliability to cost-savings.

WATER LEAK DETECTION

With a DSP vortex flow meter, leaks are detected quickly. With traditional mechanical flow meters, it’s possible that water leaks won’t be detected for years or even not at all as low end performance deteriorates as the bearings wear.

ACCURACY ON METER READING

The technology in DSP vortex flow meters allow readings down to 0.5 GPM (gallons per minute) with a 50+ turndown ratio. Again, this is more repeatable compared to mechanical flow meters like rotameters because it does not change calibration over time or have rotating parts in the flow.

REDUCE WATER BILLS

Not only are water leaks wasteful, but they also drive up water bills. A vortex flow meter in your system can alert you to leaks, breaks, and clogs in real-time, saving money and precious water. Furthermore, a vortex flow meter allows you to monitor water usage and make adjustments to conserve more water.

DURABILITY

With other flow meters, wearing will cause a continual loss of accuracy and range over time. Since vortex flow meters never change calibration and don’t have rotating parts or bearings, they last much longer.

LOW COST

Our vortex flow meters don’t require calibration which is key to its affordable price. Calibration tools not only are an added expense, but they also involve labor costs too.

LOW-PRESSURE DROP (LOW ENERGY LOSS)

Vortex flow meters have a lower pressure drop than paddle or PD meters. This means less system energy loss and more pressure available for sprinkling.

NO LEAD

Lead is a poisonous material that can cause a variety of health problems such as high blood pressure, heart disease, kidney disease, and reduced fertility. Our vortex flow meter is made of ABS plastic, EPDM rubber, and stainless steel (in some models) to ensure safety.

MOUNTS IN ANY ORIENTATION

A vortex flow meter can be mounted in any orientation as long as the pipe is full at all times. This versatility makes it easier to mount the meter and train service technicians.

NO REMOVAL FOR SYSTEM BLOWOUTS

Unlike competing flow meters, our vortex flow meter isn’t affected by system blowouts and doesn’t have to be removed for system blowouts. By eliminating the need to remove the meter, system maintenance is simplified.

SAVE MORE WITH DIGITAL FLOW METERS

No other technology or meter offers the water, cost, and time-saving benefits of our patented vortex flow meter with DSP (Digital Signal Processing). Everydrop Technologies’ mission is to eliminate water waste by detecting leaks and enabling conservation through affordable metering. Our cutting-edge sensor design has resulted in thousands of meters being installed in residential systems resulting in millions of gallons of water saved.
